This creation houses a minute repeater mechanism, striking the hours, quarter hours and minutes on demand. Additionally, it features a perpetual calendar.
Beyond a simple calendar, this function is capable of indicating the day and the date, by taking into account long and short months, also adding one day in February every 4 years. Regarding the aesthetic, the Classique 5447 houses a fully hand-chiselled movement that activates a complex retrograde month display located at 10:30. At the end of the year, after having travelled around the month indication circle arc, the hand makes an almost instant jump to return to January and start its course again. The calendar is displayed at 6 o’clock on a sun-motif guilloché dial, with each of the rays corresponding to a date. The indications for the days of the week and the leap year are opposite each other, at 3:30 and 8:30, respectively. Finally, the moon phases appear at 1:30.
